It’s time to end what has been the longest chapter in my racing career

Post 252d ago News Blogs
Where do I begin. It’s time to end what has been the longest chapter in my racing career (15 years) and it was a very successful one. It’s impossible for me to put into words how incredibly grateful I am to have had the chance to work so close with Adrien Bertin.

When I was only 13 years old he saw something in me at a race in Quackenbruck that convinced him take me under his wings from then onwards. This was in 2009 and we started out by winning the Euro B Championship together in our first year. Since then, he has been my mechanic, mentor, advisor, friend and almost a second father. What a run we have had!

As I have now made the decision to try something new I look back to these past 15 years with a tear in my eye. There are so many great memories and racing moments shared together, I feel very proud of what we have achieved.

Some of the accomplishments:
2016 — 1/8 World Champions
2013, 2014, 2022 — 1/8 European Champions
2016, 2017 — 1/8 E-Buggy European Champions
2018 — 1/10 2wd European Champions
2018, 2019 — 1/10 4wd European Champions
6 Times winner at The Dirt Nitro Challenge
3 Times World Championship podium finishes
Countless other international wins and national titles

The moment I crossed the line to win the Worlds in Vegas back in 2016 feels like yesterday and to see the emotions Adrien had in this moment is something I will never forget. (The picture speaks for itself)

The passion and knowledge he has for RC Cars, engines and car setup is something special. To have had him by my side and learn from his experience has helped me tremendously in my career so far. I wouldn’t be in the position I am today if it wasn’t for you Adrien. I can’t thank you enough.

A great week of testing with the Mayako Team is over

Post 1y ago Blogs
A great week of testing with the Mayako Team is over and we have learned a lot about setup changes to our car and we also have a good idea of a few things we would like to try at some point this year as well.

The car has been reactive to setup changes and anything we tested it was always easy to drive which is great. Even Joseph was looking good out there😉

Tomorrow I will have a MPC meeting on Discord for Mayako going through our week, don’t miss out!

My CORSATEC engines were running great all week. You know there is power when you have to reduce it at a big track like Redovan, I couldn’t handle it. It was screaming!

I was also able to go through the full range of Matrix Tires for the first time really, from Super Soft to the Hard compounds and always had amazing performance. The Stardust worked very well for the dustier conditions with a groove and dust outside. The Nebula and Black Hole are definitely the tires when you have a cleaner track, the steering and traction you have with them is crazy!! Very proud to be a part of their journey and with everyone involved💪🏼

Hitec servos with top performance as well withstanding abuse from the demanding tracks we went to, using the HSB-9381TH for both steering and throttle giving me full control over my car!

Raffaele from Pepe Group and Energy Fuel had a few boxes delivered for our testing and we almost used it all. Coming from US with 30% nitro I can’t say that there is not a big difference running Energy EU16% here. I’ve got such good power and engines were easy to tune and running great all week. Feeling really good about running this fuel through my engines.😎

The Tworks screws are top quality with the screws going in and out all week without the screws heads showing any kind of wear!

XTR always steps in supplying me with the best oils anywhere I travel. The DR line and 200ML shock bottles were perfect for this week with plenty of changes.

Great to have Hampus and Nils present as well and I think it was a great experience for them and especially for Nils who made his first outing with the car and it was looking good🤩

Last but not least I would like to thank everyone at the track of Roldan and of course the Baldos for letting us practice at their tracks. It’s probably been our most giving test session yet in many ways!🇪🇸

Now it’s time for a short sleep at the airport in Copenhagen before flying to France and attend the Montpellier GP in Ebuggy🇫🇷
